Ever wondered what it’s like inside a beehive? From April to September, Bee Curious NI invites you to suit up, step in, and see the magic for yourself.
Nestled in the countryside of Macosquin, near Coleraine in Northern Ireland, this charming small-scale beekeeping farm offers a truly immersive rural escape.
Master beekeeper Sam Laverty leads a hands-on Beekeeping Experience lasting 3 to 4 hours, guiding visitors through the fascinating world of hive management, honey production, and the essential role bees play in our ecosystem. Guests not only learn the skills and insights needed to become a beekeeper but also enjoy the farm’s other friendly animals and its picturesque surroundings, making it a memorable countryside experience for all ages.

Bee Keeping 3-4 hour Experience
Spend a few hours in the company of our Master Bee Keeper, Sam who will educate you on Bee Keeping and give you some hands-on experience. Additional to this you will be able to meet all the other animals that are kept at the farm and wander through the idyllic surroundings.
